William Henry Klemme
William Henry Klemme was born on February 17, 1849 in Brookville, Indiana. At that time his father Henry William Klemme was 27 and his mother Anna Katharine Gesell was 23. He married Mary Augusta Bolles on March 27, 1870 in Ridgeway, Iowa.
William worked on his father’s farm 3.5 miles west of Ridgeway on the Turkey River until the age of 21 when he married Augusta Bolles. He was educated from a country school and was fond of reading law and had a law library. He was Justice of the Peace for 30 years and was a Representative for Winnesheik County in the Iowa legislature three times in succession. William owned several lumber yards, farms and land near Ridgeway, North and South Dakota, and Minnesota.
William died on March 11, 1943 in Ridgeway, Iowa at the age of 94.
William and Mary Augusta Bolles had one child:
