Robert Lee Fox

Robert Lee Fox was born on April 11, 1907 in Fayette, Iowa. He married Eleanor Bolles Parker on December 27, 1931 in his hometown of Fayette.

Robert graduated from Upper Iowa University in 1928 and received his M.A. in 1930 and PhD in 1934 at Columbia. From 1934-1941 he worked as a Professor of Chemistry at Robert College in Istanbul, Turkey. Afterwards, he went ahead and worked for the US Army Chemical Corps and on the Manhattan Project 1942-1946 and as a civilian with the Chemical Corps until his retirement in about 1970.

Robert died on September 22, 2002 in Towson, Maryland at the age of 95. He was buried in the Fayette Grandview Cemetery in Iowa.

Robert Fox and Eleanor Parker had no children.
