Dorothy Lakin Parker
Dorothy Lakin Parker was born on March 28, 1896 in Fayette, Iowa. At that time her father James Donaldson Parker was 28 and her mother Nellie Klemme was 25. She married Lee Holoway Goebel on May 15, 1922 in her hometown of Fayette.
Dorothy graduated from Upper Iowa University 1917 and received training as a nurse at the Massachusetts General Hospital where she became a registered nurse in 1920. She visited Nurse Assistant from 1920-1922 (Henry Street Settlement House in NYC). When her husband died in 1929, she remarried and lived in Florida.
She died on February 16, 1966 in Lakeland, Florida at the age of 69.
Dorothy and Lee Holoway Goebel had one child:
